Super Matcha Smoothie
Matcha is one of the more versatile teas, and one of the healthiest. Matcha is rich in catechins, a class of plant compounds in tea that act as natural antioxidants. In fact, Matcha can have 60 times the antioxidants of spinach. This is mainly because you are ingesting the very finely ground leaf itself. Not the entire leaf, but the green parts between the leaf veins. It takes more effort to create matcha, which naturally adds to its cost. Matcha Powder and Liquor
Rest assured that with good quality matcha you are getting your money’s worth. A typical serving of matcha requires only a half teaspoon, less than half the amount for a robust cup of loose-leaf tea. Also, matcha’s powdered texture and palate pleasing nature make it a slam dunk for lattes, baking, even savoury dishes. There’s little this powerhouse green tea can’t do.
Cue our Super Matcha Smoothie. It’s refreshing, fruity and bursting with nutrients. Because matcha contains caffeine, this smoothie can also help power up your mornings. Worth noting that it’s half the caffeine of coffee and interacts more gently with your system. And, the ingredients are easy to find – very important! Frothy and Delicious!
