An accidental discovery by Japanese tea traders in the 1920’s, Sencha from the finest tea-growing region of Uji, Kyoto, is charcoal roasted to awaken a caramelized, nutty character. The flavours mimic those of a light roast coffee, but with very low caffeine content. Hojicha works whether you’re multi-tasking or putting the phone to silent.
